No REGULAR game! Borussia Dortmund meets Werder Bremen, for a spot in Europa League.

Even if it`s still a full week ahead the cup final, for Dortmund it`s already something in the air, maybe the smell of farewells. As we all know it will be the last match for Sebastian Kehl and Jurgen Klopp in Bundesliga.

Jurgen Klopp, over the years was seen as an entertaining figure full of emotions, but also appreciated for the professional way he coaches.

On the other hand Sebastian Khel, will probably have a well deserved farewell from the club ahed of the game. He ends his career after 13 great and eventfull seasons. He had ups and downs, some serious injuries, injuries that at the time, maybe prevented him to have a better evolution at the national german team, some unsuccesfull periods but at the same time he enjoyed glorious and terrific times as a former captain and midfielder at Borussia Dortmund.

This weekend Borussia Dortmund hosts Berder Bremen for a very important match in Bundesliga, it will be a “battle” for the sixth place on the table of Bundesliga and also the qualification for a spot in Europa League. As Klopp said it himself, the black and yellow players, will have to really focus on the game and forget about the farewells for at least 90 minutes.

Dortmund climbed to seventh last week, winning all possible three points, with a 2-0 home win against Hertha Berlin, with Neven Subotic and Durm scoring, and they rarely do.

Will certainly be a great game, a fully loaded stadium, a very good reason to dispute the victory, it will be much more than a regular match.

Shamrock Rovers versus Cork City, Premier Division of Ireland.

Back in march, Shamrock Rovers played against Cork City, a first leg at the Tallaght Stadium and started the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division season, with an unwished for 0-0 draw. Both Rovers and City had a poor game that friday evening, despite the fact that five former internationals presence, niether side managed to creat real chances and score, except a moment when the Rovers striker Drennan saw his closerange header crash off the crossbar just before half-time. But at time was still a long way to go and things to accomplish as the season unfolded.

After 8 weeks from then, Cork City passed on the second place of the Premier Divisions table, with 4 points ahead the Shamrocks.

Shamrock Rovers made it to score a record of breaking 16th League Cup semi-final with a 1-0 win against Derry City on the Brandywell stadium on Tuesday evening. Sean O`connor`s kick free goal, probably made the diffrence in the quarter final of this EA Sports Cup season.

Rovers have an excellent defensive record and the City should expect a very tight game, even though they also have great results at matches played at home Turner stadium.

It should be a very interesting game to see, considering both teams are more or less on the same point of technical value and results, would have equal chances of winning the game, so i must say it might be a draw.

As the italien sports news tell us, the previous game, between Salernitana and Novara was an entertainig game, they made a real show on the field, playing for the Super Cup-Pro League.

We expect the game of today, Salernitana against Teramo, to offer the once again a great show, playing on the arechi stadium, where the Salernitana are hosting the Teramos.

It would be the 10th match between these two formations, and in fact the statistic are showing that the Salernitana have had five winnings, three draws and one win for the Teramo.

The Teramos are willing to give it all just to have a positive result against Salernitana, because in that case they„ll have the opportunity to play a real final match against Novara and maybe have a shot at the title of ”Supercoppa della Lega Pro”.

The Salernitana are much better placed, then the opponents of the match tomorrow, but the motivation is there for both teams, so if the odds are probably on the hosts, based on the results and winnings, so be it.

An interesting match today, Sunderland are visiting Arsenal today. Sunderland is struggling to secure their place in the Premier League, even if right now are placed on the 16th place on the Barclays Table with a total of 37 points. Arsenal instead, as we well know it, are much better positioned on the 3rd place with 71 points earned `till now, they`re obviously hoping and doing their best to keep the 3rd position on the Table.

Arsenal has some problems regarding some of it`s players, due to injuries, we`re talking about Danny Welbeck who hurt his knee and midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, full-back Mathieu Debuchy and captain Mikel Arteta who injuried his ankle, are still out, not being fully recovered and still not fit for the match.

Sunderland also have some injured players like defender Wes Brown, midfielders Jordi Gomez, Ricardo Alvarez and Bridcutt, remaining on the sidelines. Jack Rodwell instead, should be good to go.

If we are to consider all these incidents which finished with injured important players, who take a long time to recover, not being able to contribue to their teams efforts in playing and hopefully winning the Premier League games, for a spot on the Premiers Table, we must notice the agressive and maybe pasionate way of playing the games, probably due to great hopes and tones of work behind these matches.

However, The Sunderland will face an Arsenal who won 13 of their 17 matches in the Barclays Premier League. The Gunners would need to win this game to seal their third place and secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League. So we can honestly say the stakes are high.

I`ll say the odds are on Arsenal today, considering the motivation and previous results against Sunderland, at least.

Shamrock Rovers, undefeated as they seem, are surely hoping to maintain this first-rate start of their Irish Premier League campaign playing the game against Derry City, this evening, at the Derry City stadium.

They had a very smooth, impressive start and had great results this season, considering unquestionable victories and even convenient draws.

Derry City on the other hand, had a tough start this campaign, struggling to have positive results in the opening fixtures of the season. However, an impressive EA Sports Cup win over Sligo Rovers has given the Derrys some of that much needed selfconfidence and good spirit, to face the future matches of the championship.

The last time they met, at the Brandywell, Derry City and the Rovers, finished the game with a disappointing draw, for the Derrys who were hoping to take away the three points.

Anyway, it has been a flat game, with a slow start and a great part of the first period, continued the same way, with no trace of dominance from neither sides and we can`t talk about real chances created, either. The only real chance of the first half, was when Barry McNamee had the opportunity to score, opportunity that vanished after Patrick McEleney intervened.

The second period instead, started in a much brighter light, there were some moments when the Derrys seemed to show some dominance, even if briefly, some action in the middle of the field and a chance to score for the Derrys after the 58th minute, some drama at the very end when Keith Fahey was sent off after receiving his second booking for simulation and also David O`Connor, failling to score when given the chance, missing Doherty`s net.

An overall view, we can say it was a fair result, even if Derry did hope for better.

Today, the table shows Shamrock Rovers are positioned on th 3rd place on the Irish Premier League with 27 Premier points, while Derry City holds the 8th place with 13 points only, so i guess it would be fair to say the odds are on the Rovers.

Today, Murinho takes his players at the Hawthorns, with the Premier League already won. It seems there`s no pressure for this game in particular, Chelsea having already assured their place and Bromwich also being champions of their League, knowing alredy for a fact that they will be playing Premier League football next season, so they`re not looking to win the points.

If Chelsea would be the winner of todays encounter, would be the 26th win for this season, and Murinho would be very happy, as he seems so eager to win it all. Wouldn`t be a surprise, if that happened, but maybe we should consider also the fact that 3 of his midfielders, who did most of the work this season, are simultaneously training for the Copa America also.

West Brom have a complete team to choose from as Callum McManaman has fully recovered from his foot injury. Saido Berahino and Brown Ideye are willing to start, after being named on the bench in last week’s 1-1 draw at Newcastle.

Chelsea striker, Diego Costa is ready to return, recovering from the injury he suffered and kept him away from playing the last six games, while for Ramires, Kurt Zouma and Oscar, the season seems to be over, due to injuries, announced the manager Murinho.

With the table showing 84 points for Chelsea and 41 for the Albion, we might say the odds are on Chelsea, not mentioning the thirst of the Chelseas manager, to reach 90 points. They are surely willing to try their best at the final two games against Sunderland, playing at Stamford Bridge on the last day of the campaign.

Manchester United and Arsenal are meeting today at Old Trafford, playing for a spot in the Premier League .

United lost three games, one after another until they played against Crystal Palace, last weekend, and they need one more point to secure their place in Champions League qualifications. They never lost a home league meeting, with Arsenal, since 2006, and never conceded more than one goal at home,to Arsenal.

Now, Arsenal could become the fourth team, after Chelsea in 2004/2005, Tottenham 1989/1990 and Aston Villa 1919/1920, to beat United twice at Old Trafford in one season.

Considering Rooney is out, failling to recover after the injury he got at one leg, analysis of the match should be, maybe a bit diffrent. It`s hard to think Arsenal will lose this game, they`ll surely want to show the world that the Swansea result was a mistake, an error. They`ll maybe create many more chances than United, maybe hoping to outplay in the midfield.

Danny Welbeck will also miss the chance to play this game and face his former club as he had been ruled out due to a knee injury.Trey`re still motivated and Arsenal`s coach Arsene Wenger declared: “I would love to have him available but we will have to do without him.”

Odds are on Manchester United as they seem assured of a place in the first four, securing Champions League qualification, currently being six point ahead Liverpool in fifth place with only two games remaining.

If we talk about “The Reds”, we have to mention Steven Gerrard, considering the match he’ll play today against the Crystal Palace, will be the last one at Anfield, after 17 impressive years played at Liverpool. Colleagues, fans, family and friends, are all hoping to see Gerrard winning this game, as a terrific farewell to his carriere at Liverpool.

In the last six Premier League, the Crystal Palace, managed to reach the back of the net playing against Liverpool, including the last tow games. We can say they are in good shape, but still, the chances are small to win the game today and even smaller i might say, for them to get in the half top of the table.

We have to mention also that “The Reds” only lost one game on home soil, of their last 14 league games against Crystal Palace. Clearly, “The Eagles” will be looking to avoid a defeat, it would be the fifth in a row. They will fight, that`s for sure.

Both teams are strongly motivated this time, for diffrent reasons but looking for the same result, both want to win this game, having great expectations.

Liverpools games will be also an emotional one for the Reds captain, Steven Gerrard, in the final home game for the club.

We`ll surely have the pleasure, this weekend, to see a great match, a strong finish and hopfully, for the Reds, a big send off for Steven Gerrard.

The odds seem to be on for the Liverpool and the big finish for it`s captain.

Historic Middlesbrough against “agressive” Brentford.

Middlesbrough is now once again in the promotion playoffs, after many years, to be exact, 27 years since the dramatic double against Chelsea, double that launched them straight into the Premier League.

That season, Chelsea was favorite, but the draws against Portsmouth and Charlton sent the team into the playoffs, they passed into the semifinals without great difficulties and played the final for the promotion, against Middlesbrough.

The first-leg was played on the Ayresome Park where Middlesbrough played a commanding game and Chelsea settled for defense, losing the game. “Boro” won the game scoring 2 goals and becoming the favorite to the title.

Unfortunate events happened in the North East the evening after the outcome of the 2nd-leg and there were over 40.000 people on Stamford Bridge. Middlesbrough won again, leaving Chelsea out of the Premier League, that year. Unfortunately, people remember more the incidents after the game than the game itself.

Middlesbrough were relegated at the end of 2009, then, seasons to come, failed to return among the elite of the English football.

Now, Middlesbrough plays against Brentford in the semifinals, a dangerous team, that can surprise at any time, the favorite. It was a big thing for the team when they managed to secure a spot into the semifinal, and it seems that the Brentford will not give up easily.

Whatever the outcome, it has been a terrific season for the Brentfords players, an impressive one as well, considering the 21 years away.

Fiorentina plays the second-leg against Sevilla, winner of the first-leg. Hopes are high!

It seems hard to imagine a passing of the Fiorentina into the finals of Europa League, considering the fact that the opponent it`s also the favourite to win the game.

Andalusian fans were very supportive and made a beautiful atmosphere. Vidal opened the scoring after 17 minutes. Immediately, Fiorentina had a chance to tie the score, but Matias Fernandez didn`t manage to use the opportunity to the team advantage, that was one mistake from many, during the lasts week encounter, mistakes they seem to pay at a high price. Trying to make their way into scoring, the Tuscans were puzzled by Sergio Rico. Sevillas goalkeeper, once again had an exceptional intervention on Salah’s attempt to score.

At the 52nd minute, just 7 minutes after the break, Vidal running down on the right side, with a pass from Vitolo, strikes a second goal, seeming a natural born player and doubles the lead, followed by Gameiro with the third goal.

Fiorentina instead, made some substantial errors, errors that may cost them a spot in the finals of the Europa League.

Montella`s men are probably still recovering from the last disaster with Sevilla, who scored 3 goals, finishing the first-leg with a commanding 3-0. Fiorentina is obviously hoping for a comeback in the second-leg, they would have a really difficult task considering their lack of concentration in the last game, but they surely have a shot, in football everything is possible, you can never know what`s gonna` happen.
